Description
Headed by a cairn whose rocky stones blanched by the sun emerge from a maquis of boxwood, the summit of the Cacia conceals the remains of a castellaras.
This dominant site sees at its feet the waters of Estéron that enrich those of the Riolan, arising from one of the most spectacular clues of Europe.
Just above the summit of the Cacia, the roofs of the old tiles of Sigale are surmounted by an admirable campanile perched on a small piton around which the village is articulated.
A 360 ° tour of the horizon, as is often the case in the Estéron massif, will allow us to detail several villages nestled away from the northern winds, such as Amirat, La Penne, Saint-Antonin or Ascros.
In the distance, the "3,000" high valleys of the Var, Tinée and Vésubie give an idea of ??the magnitude of the Mercantour-Argentera link that stretches towards the sea.
