Cardiff (Wales)

Capital and largest city of Wales, Cardiff was founded by the Romans then invaded by the Normans. At the Industrial Revolution and with the rise of the coal trade, Cardiff became an important port and many monuments were built. Before World War II, the city entered into an economic crisis. In order to improve the situation, the British government began an economic modernisation policy.
