Mont Archas
Description
Alternating forest areas of ubac and high alpine pastures, this course evolves on a territory valued for hunting chamois and which also presents a biotope favorable to tetra-lyres, ptarmigan and bartavelles (rhodoraie, myrtillais and melezen).
The ruins of the former refuge of the Adus testify to this hunting past which has continued over time with the creation of a new larch refuge in a charming site, conducive to family escapes and the dream of returning to nature (Reservations are possible with the town hall of Saint-Martin-Vésubie).
This site, which was the subject of a ski resort project in the 1960s, remained untouched by any development.
It will offer you from Mount Archas (2,526 m), a view of the peaks of the Southern Alps that gradually descend to the sea.
