Lemon Festival
Description
The lemon festival is a traditional festive event organized by the Tourist Office which is held annually at the end of winter in the city of Menton.
This festival is also called Carnival of Menton.
This particular carnival celebrates each year the lemon of Menton with the gustatory qualities declared incomparable hence its name: lemon festival.
All carnivals and sculptures presented at the carnival are created from lemon and orange.
This celebration takes place during the month of February.
Since the middle of the fifteenth century, the commune of Menton is an important producer of lemon in Europe.
